A terrifying list of parameters and commands

One of the most challenging aspects of progressing from Midjourney newbie to intermediate user is learning how to control, customize, and enhance your images using parameters.

Some users hated them. Consider these parameters to be similar to some cryptic programming things. Yes and no.

We can't blame them. The list of 23 parameters is pretty scary:

Here's another list of 29 Discord commands:

So, in total there are 52 parameters and commands (23 + 29) to learn!

The truth is that you don’t have to use all of them. Even truer is that you don’t have to learn all of them in one sitting, even when you want to become a Midjourney Advanced User. Learn the essential ones first, then take in the others one at a time at your own pace. Not all the parameters are created equal.

In this article, I will share with you the most useful parameters and commands that all new beginners should master first. These are the ones that I personally use the most and found them almost indispensable in using Midjourney.

Let’s go.
