Ahhhhhh... free Midjourney goodies? Who doesn't love that?
But first, the freebies must be acceptable and useful. Avoid websites that offer low-quality, generic content in exchange for payment.
Midjourney resources such as prompts, Sref codes, and keywords are ideal for saving for later use as inspiration for your next image creation.
Here are some of the websites I use to find resources and learn what others are doing.
These websites are great for learning about aesthetic styles and finding resources for reference.
I only include websites I believe are useful. Some websites may use outdated prompts or aggressive marketing to sell training courses or Sref codes, so explore with caution.
Let's get started.
Midlibrary
https://midlibrary.io/
If you've been using Midjourney for a while, it's difficult not to know Midlibrary.
It offers an extensive list of style-related keywords and artist names that you can use to create your prompt. It's a great place to try new styles and expand your vocabulary.
It saves you Fast Hours because you don't have to manually prompt those keywords to see their effects on the image.
At the time of writing, the site is yet to provide Sref codes. So, it's a keyword-focused website for honing your prompting skills.
Don't underestimate the power of artist names; they can take your image to the next level.
This is a sample image that I created using a resource from this website.
SrefHunter
https://srefhunter.top/midjourney-sref-codes
This site compiled Sref codes from other creators and hosted them on a website.
Although not as well organized as Midlibrary, you can browse the various aesthetic styles generated by Sref codes.
The "Category" menu does not include all of those Sref codes. It's more like assembling some examples of how the codes work. So you must go through the codes page by page and select those that interest you.
I created a sample image using the site's Sref code.
Midjourney Sref Code Community Mining Operation
https://discord.com/channels/662267976984297473/1238405277670178816
(>20K free Sref codes)
People mine Sref codes because they are useful for stylizing images and simple to use.
If you are interested in mining the codes, you can do so with this basic prompt.
/imagine prompt: . --sref random --v 6.1
The mining process is a trial-and-error affair, and it may take many iterations to discover a potentially useful code. Discovering exceptionally beautiful code is an exceptional experience.
You will appreciate the tremendous effort that our community members put into mining the code. Fortunately, we don't have to sacrifice our fasting hours to mine them.
Even if you use the /relax mode to mine, it will take effort to prompt one prompt at a time.
Here are two sample images that I created using the Sref codes from the community.
Midjourney Niji Sref Code Community Mining Operation
https://discord.com/channels/662267976984297473/1250089758093213799
Niji has its own Sref codes. To use them, you must prompt the Niji bot on Discord, not Midjourney.
The mining operation for Niji Sref codes is noticeably smaller than Midjourney. However, there are still some excellent goodies available. Take your pick.
I created two sample images using Niji codes.
Midjourneysref.com
https://midjourneysref.com/discover?page=1
This site has about 500 Sref codes. You will have to pay to find the extra codes.
The website contains some great codes. Go "window shopping" and select the codes that catch your eye.
Sref-midjourney.com
https://sref-midjourney.com/
It is similar to the previous website that provided Sref codes.
Some codes are interesting. Choose what you fancy.
My thoughts on publicly available Midjourney resources
These free style resources will help Midjourney beginners create stunning images quickly. A powerful dose of motivation to encourage new users to push their Midjourney skills to the next level.
It's enjoyable for personal and recreational use. Simply use the code into the prompt, and you'll have a stunning image to impress your friends.
For more professional use cases, freely available style codes, particularly popular and trending ones that are shared extensively across social media, could get overused and quickly become tired.
After all, an image that is beautiful, unique, and never-before-seen draws attention and set your creation apart from others. Clients will also appreciate your art's uniqueness.
