It's Omni Reference

Omni Reference was announced as "Omni-reference" at launch, but in the Official Midjourney documentation, it is written as Omni-reference without the dash. (However, the label on the web page is written with a dash... ugh!).

We will use the official documentation to refer to this new feature, which allows you to include characters, objects, vehicles, non-human creatures, and other elements in your images.

Table of Contents

  1. What is it?

  2. How to use Omni Reference on the web

  3. The --oref parameter

  4. The --ow parameter

  5. Which values should I use for --ow?

  6. Using --oref with other parameters

  7. Compatibility

  8. Drawbacks

  9. Workarounds

  10. Example (for two reference characters)
