Perplexity: No need to pack your bags, we're going on a day trip
Free super Perplexity prompt to help you plan your next day trip. Video tutorial is included. No coding is required. Simply copy and paste.
Day trips are an excellent addition to the travel experience, especially if you are staying in a city with many nearby small towns to explore. You don't need to book a hotel or pack your bags because you can visit them on day trips!
If you are fortunate enough to be visiting the country for a business meeting and have an extra day or two of layover, a day trip is ideal for exploring the city and learning about foreign cultures and lifestyles without too much hassle.
The disadvantage of a day trip, especially for a lazy person like me, is that it requires time to plan, conduct research, and devise an itinerary, taking into account places to visit, which must be prioritized due to limited visiting time, what to eat, and so on.
Is all this planning just for a day of enjoyment? You may wonder if the ROI (return on investment) is actually worth it. Or you could simply hire a local tour guide to show you around; problem solved.
If you're visiting major European cities, hiring a local tour guide for a day trip to nearby smaller towns or cities is, in my humble opinion, overkill.
The freedom to wander around and explore the city on your own time without being rushed by a tour guide is invaluable. Above all, it's not difficult, as many cities are simple to navigate and get around.
In this article, I'll assume that your day trip destination is in France.
If it isn't, don't worry. You can easily modify the prompt to fit your needs.
Let me show you how to plan a trip using Perplexity.
Before you start planning, you'll need two things
(1) Return train tickets to the city. That means you know the date and time of your trip, as well as the main train station where you will arrive. If you do not have this information, please provide a hypothetical one.
(2) Perplexity Pro subscription. You could also use the free version, but I have not tested it. (If you want to subscribe, use this discount coupon to get $10 discount).

Amazing! I didn’t know you could do this in such a well organized manner! I recently started using perplexity, as I was gifted a one year pro subscription. I really love how it works for my prompts, but mine are quite basic. This is superbly useful 🙏
