How to summon a mythical beast into Midjourney
A creative use case of Midjourney Omni Reference
Impressive Omni Reference
Omni Reference (Oref) is a fascinating Midjourney feature that greatly improves on Character Reference (Cref). There is so much to discover with the Oref, and the fact that Midjourney has not yet fully implemented all of its features, such as the ability to reference multiple images, is mind-blowing.
I read and learn from other writers about Midjourney Omni Reference. However, I have yet to come across an article that uses Oref creatively, as opposed to the way Midjourney suggests.
In fact, Midjourney adds so many new features in one go that the documentation can't keep up. At the time of writing, the Oref parameter is not yet officially included in the Parameter List! But it is documented in the Official Documentation.
If you're new to the Omni Reference, I highly recommend reading this article here.
Discovery
I've discovered many new and unreported things about the Omni Reference. Still, I'd like to wait until Midjourney releases all of Oref features before sharing everything I know with you in an article. (There could be many changes by then, so I can update them too.)
In the meantime, I'd like to share something interesting that I haven't seen anyone else share. Oh yes, summoning a mythical beast into Midjourney is a clever use of Oref parameter. Haha.
It's both fun and incredibly useful.
Let me show you how.
