Midjourney was on steroids recently, releasing one feature after another last week:
The --oref and --ow (Omni Reference) is a better reference system than its predecessor (Cref).
The --exp parameter enhances aesthetics.
The --q 4 parameter improves image quality, coherence, and detail.
Improved editor interface.
The V7 model has been updated for improved image quality, prompt accuracy, and coherency.
Upcoming Releases
The editor may include a flip and rotate function.
Super Sref and Moodboards are expected to be released next week.
Multiple Omni References in 1-2 weeks.

Sref Random will continue to be available. There will be enhancements that enable style exploration.

Midjourney V8 will be designed around the new server infrastructure, which will be operational in about 30 days.
Ideogram updated Version 3 to improve realism, prompt adherence, better text, more styles, and diversity. Canvas now supports Magic Fill and Extend. Ideogram also launched an API for developers.
What I think: Ideogram V3 is still my preferred tool for creating text or adding text to an existing image. It struggles with anatomical details of the hands and body.. And even with text improvements, it falls short of ChatGPT when it comes to handling longer texts.

Today's unfair comparison is between ChatGPT-4o and Ideogram V3 for creating an infographic with nine items, each with an icon/graphic and a label/description.
Both ChatGPT-4o and Ideogram V3 are capable of handling this type of request. In general, we know that ChatGPT-4o is more advanced at generating text within images. But is it the best option for creating aesthetically pleasing infographics? Let's find out.
We'll start with ChatGPT-4o first.
ChatGPT-4o prompt:
The prompt was intentionally written in a suboptimal and ambiguous manner.
You are a helpful assistant that specializes in creating lists with descriptive icons. Please create a list of 9 different fruits. For each fruit, include an appropriate emoji icon and a brief label that describes a key characteristic or benefit of that fruit. Format the list neatly with bullet points, making sure each entry includes the fruit name, an emoji, and a descriptive label. Make the list visually appealing and easy to read.ChatGPT result:
ChatGPT can fill in the blanks even when the prompt does not specify the type of fruit to include in the list.
It accurately generated a list of items, complete with descriptions, which is impressive.
However, the right margin is a little narrow, and there are no other options since ChatGPT only generates one image at a time.
I revised the prompt to make it clearer so that ChatGPT knows exactly what I want.
Revised ChatGPT-4o prompt:
You are a helpful assistant that specializes in creating an infographic with descriptive icons. Please create a list of 9 different fruits in the infographic style. For each fruit, include an appropriate fruit icon and a brief label that describes a key characteristic or benefit of that fruit. Arrange the items neatly, making sure each entry includes the fruit name and a descriptive label. Make the infographic visually appealing and easy to read.ChatGPT-4o result:
ChatGPT-4o generates an excellent infographic.
The icons, names, and labels are outstanding.
The graphic style is typical for ChatGPT.
The margin at the bottom needs to be trimmed or adjusted.
Now, let us try the ambiguous prompt on Ideogram V3.
Unfair, ambiguous prompt for Ideogram V3:
A list of 9 different fruits. For each fruit, include an appropriate emoji icon and a brief label that describes a key characteristic or benefit of that fruit. Format the list neatly with bullet points, making sure each entry includes the fruit name, an emoji, and a descriptive label. Make the list visually appealing and easy to read.The results:
Ideogram, unlike ChatGPT-4o, cannot fill in missing information; however, it can generate a design mockup and fill it with fictional graphics and gibberish text.
It offers several appealing design options.
I revised and adjusted the prompt for Ideogram V3.
Infographic depicting 9 different fruits and their descriptions. Apple - High in Fiber, Banana - Potassium-rich, Orange - Vitamin C, Strawberry - Antioxidants, Blueberry - Low in calories, Watermelon - Hydrating, Lemon - Detoxifying, Pineapple - Enzyme-rich, Grape - Heart-hearty. Each fruit has an appropriate icon and a description. 
With complete information and clear instructions, Ideogram can create many attractive infographic designs, providing design options that ChatGPT-4o does not.
In conclusion, ChatGPT-4o is an effective tool for quickly creating infographics. However, if aesthetics and design appeal are important, consider Ideogram V3, which allows for creative exploration and text handling.
